Nolan Principles

Nolan Principles
A popular name for a British *public sector corporate governance report of 1995. The Committee on Standards in Public Life - popularly named for its chairperson - was established in 1994 by the British government to elaborate governance standards following allegations of bribes and abuse of office by members of the British parliament. The committee’s 1995 report identified seven "principles of public life": (i) selflessness, (ii) integrity, (iii) objectivity, (iv) *accountability, (v) openness, (vi) honesty, and (vii) leadership.
