CI A Japanese management philosophy that constantly aims at improvements to all aspects of an organization and its activities. For example, cost reduction targets are often built into CI *budgets and are intended to act as a stimulus to improve (among other things) the *Three E’s of *economy, *efficiency, and *effectiveness. CI theories are often known by the Japanese term *kaizen.
