A U.S. professional accounting organization for women. Formed in 1938, the ASWA aims to promote the interests of women in the accounting profession. On its Web site, the ASWA states its mission to be as follows: "To enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession."
